If you had told my high school self that I would be running a sewing business, I would have laughed. You can click on the audio file to hear me say, “I don’t think I’ll pursue fashion as a career” in a radio interview. When I first learned to sew, I hated it, and thought I would never use a sewing machine again. Several years later, I gave sewing another chance. I discovered something unexpected: I loved it!

I have spent several years developing my skills through alterations, custom sewing projects, costume design, and handmade creations, such as making doll clothes, serving as the costumer for my high school's play, creating bags for family members, building two dress forms (including one completely from scratch), and even creating a Hollow Knight cosplay.  Check out my previous work here!

I started out in teaching, specifically mathematics and fashion & textiles. My background taught me the value of accuracy, precision, problem-solving, and making people feel heard. Today, I apply those same skills to every alteration, garment, and handmade item I create. Everything is tailored to YOU (no, literally). Each seam and press is done with precision and intentionality, and every thought, concern, like, and dislike is taken into account. Every person deserves to feel their best!

I have always had a passion for helping people feel comfortable and confident in their wardrobe, and I wanted to design an experience to each individual in a way that feels approachable and personal. My husband said to me, “You have the skills, you love doing this, you should start a business!” Thus, Tiffy’s Textiles was born!

My goal is to provide products and services that you love! I want each individual to feel excited about the finished product, whether it's something to wear, an item that you absolutely love, or a custom idea you've dreamed up!
