2018 Fashion Show
March 3rd, 2018, for my senior project, I hosted a fashion show based on the theme of being modest yet stylish. People don’t have to sacrifice wearing something revealing in order to feel comfortable and look good!
I wanted to create a space for women that made them feel comfortable and fashionable without sacrificing being covered up. I was interviewed by “The Republic”, a longstanding local newspaper in the town I grew up. I was very grateful for the opportunity, and this article alone received a lot of recognition from various sources such as news outlets, radio stations, and even the university I was planning on attending. Radio Interview
My project was featured in the city newspaper. Word spread and I was featured on my local radio station. You can listen to the interview here (I laugh because there’s even a part where I mention I don’t think I’ll pursue sewing of any sort as a career).
